Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ZingBizz is a design and development studio based in Chennai, India, operating the website zingbizz.com (the "Site"). We build brand identities, websites, mobile apps, marketing campaigns, video content and automation systems for client businesses.

This policy explains what personal data the Site collects, why we hold it, who else processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers the Site only. Work we carry out inside a client's own systems is governed by the contract with that client, not by this page.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, ZingBizz is the data fiduciary for the data described here. Where the UK or EU GDPR applies to a visitor, we act as the controller of that same data.

2. Data We Collect, and When

We do not ask for personal data to browse the Site. Everything below is collected either because you typed it into a form or because a measurement tool you consented to recorded it.

3. Why We Use It

• To answer you. Enquiry and calculator details are used to reply, scope the work and quote for it.
• To run a hiring process. Applications and CVs are read to assess you for the role you applied for.
• To send what you subscribed to. Newsletter emails go only to addresses that asked for them, and every one carries an unsubscribe link.
• To keep the Site working and safe. Server logs and the Turnstile challenge exist to detect abuse and block automated spam.
• To understand what the Site is doing. With your consent, aggregate analytics tell us which pages are read and where visitors give up.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Our Grounds for Processing

Under the DPDP Act we rely on the consent you give when you submit a form or accept a cookie category. Where the GDPR applies, the grounds are: consent for analytics, advertising and the newsletter; steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract for enquiries, quotes and job applications; and legitimate interests for server logs and anti-abuse measures, where our interest in a Site that stays online is not overridden by your rights.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time — through the cookie banner, the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, or by emailing us. Doing so does not undo processing that already happened lawfully.

5. Who Else Processes Your Data

We use the following processors. Each handles data only for the purpose shown, on our instructions.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. The On-Site Assistant

The chat widget answers from a fixed description of our services, prices and contact details. To generate a reply it sends your message to a third-party language model provider (NVIDIA NIM, or Groq as a fallback). Treat it as a public channel: do not type anything into it that you would not put in an email to a stranger. For anything confidential, email connect@zingbizz.com instead.

7. How Long We Keep It

• Enquiries and quotes: kept for the life of the conversation and for 24 months afterwards, so we can pick up a project that resumes later.
• Job applications and CVs: kept for 12 months from the date of application, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep you on file for longer.
• Newsletter subscriptions: kept until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs: retained by our host on its own rolling schedule, typically weeks rather than months.
• Analytics data:retained according to each provider's configured window; GA4 is set to the shortest option the product allows.

Records tied to a paid engagement are held for as long as tax and accounting law requires, which is longer than the periods above.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what data about you we hold, and why;
• correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
• erase data we no longer need for the purpose it was given for;
• stop using it for a purpose you consented to, by withdrawing that consent;
• send you a copy in a portable format, or restrict or object to processing, where the GDPR applies to you.

Write to connect@zingbizz.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to your local supervisory authority in the UK or EU.

9. Security and International Transfers

The Site is served over HTTPS with HSTS, a Content Security Policy and the usual hardening headers. Access to submitted data is limited to the ZingBizz staff who need it. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we can promise we will tell you, and the relevant authority, if a breach affects your data.

Our processors operate globally, so data may be stored or handled outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where the GDPR applies, those transfers rely on the processor's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

10. Children

The Site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, tell us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when what we do changes — a new form, a new processor, a new retention period. The date at the top is the date of the last substantive edit. Material changes will be signposted on the Site rather than made quietly.
